Layman's Sermons

Hello! Thanks for visiting. I am happy for your comments and suggestions. I am a 30-something man, a practicing Catholic, and a husband and lawyer. I often find myself thinking (usually during the homily) that it would be nice to be able to preach, or that I would focus differently on the readings than the priest did. Short of becoming a deacon, though, I don't really have the chance to. Hence, this blog! So, the point here is to try to take each Sunday's readings and draft a sermon around them. I have little idea of the best way to craft sermons - maybe I'll have to do some reading about it - and I know that it will be different written down than it would be actually speaking it. But we'll see how things go.
